What size speaker goes under the dash? Is there a bracket or does it mount directly? Does anyone have pictures of one mounted? Mine is missing and sometimes even AM radio is better than nothing at all.

I dont have a picture - I took it out years ago - but it was oval and attached through the mounting holes in the four corners. You may find it difficult to source one identical these days and originals will be past their sell by date. You would probably need to adapt something more modern (which will also give better performance).

Heritage do what I believe is a direct replacement (might wanna give them a call though, it says it's for a T1)

Not cheap mind:

Hello, I managed to get a 6x9 speaker under my dash best to remove glove box liner makes it alot easier, mines only held up on two screws so it can resinate/vibrate abit, didn't want to drill any more holes in dash top, sounds very good with excellent bass best to go for a three way type making sure the tweeter centre section does not protrude you need one with a flat face ,good speaker wire helps don't use that door bell wire you'll be amazed by the sound quality even in mono.
