Can someone please help! I've just build my new engine with all new parts and with no fly wheel or shims or even a front pulley, I have about 1.5mm of end float. Is this about right or do I need to strip it all down and start again!

how hard is it to replace the small end bearings on set of standard conrods, i have a press, is it something i can do myself or do i need some special piece of kit?

I've just bought an auto linea new crankcase and although the case is great the oil pick up doesn't. I was going exchange it for my original vw one. Question is, is this an easy job or do I need specialist tools, I haven't split my original case yet so I haven't had a look how it's fixed.

Yes I know Jo and she is great, I've bought most of my engine from the . She has some scat ones which are great but quite expensive. Second hands ones would be great if you have a good set?

I've just bought a new auto linea crankcase but it has case savers in so I need 8mm head studs. Does anyone have or know where I can get some at a reasonable price without spending a fortune, new or used but in good condition.....my budget for this nine I coming to an end

Does anyone know somewhere that can do a crank regrind for my 1600 camper engine. I'm in the London area. Would be also handy if they could put new bearings in my con rods both big and small.

Is there a time limit as to when you must register your imported bus from the USA. I spoke to the DVLA and all they said was it must be done as soon as possible. My bus doesn't even have an engine at the moment and I need an MOT before I can do it? Any idea, my shipper said he had never heard...
