My newly imported bay from California has surface rust on the underside, thankfully it is only surface rust. Is there anything I can put on it that will get rid of the rust and then seal it up, I've bought some stuff from frost before but the rust on a previous restoration, however the rust on that was a lot worse and it didn't really do a lot.

I'd rather not spend hours lying on my back with a drill and a wire wheel!

Please help!

I scraped off all the remaining underseal on my bus [took days  fell asleep under there once as well] then recovered the whole lot in waxoyl underbody seal.....very messy job it gets EVERYWHERE. My bus is used whatever the weather and once a year i recheck and touch in if required.

Hi,

Take a look in my build thread, about half way down is the start of the underside treatment i did.

Plenty of before and after, see what you think.

Cheers,

Alistair
