    1st early bay for me

Think tomorrow it will only be one more sleep. I know the feeling I would be 57 before I got my bay, had beetles and a fastback in my younger days. Coming up 78yrs old in September but still love driving my crossover, will drive it while ever I am capable and still doing bits on it, . yesterday...

    how to renovate headlamp reflectors

As far as I know there is no way you can renovate them yourself. You certainly cannot polish them it removes the thin layer of silvering, making them even worse, tried that many many years ago when I was young on a pair of spotlights. Most probable way is to have them re-silvered, finding...

    cooling

Hi how can you tell if you have the cooling flaps fitted, I certainly can't see a thermostat underneath the engine and there is no rod hanging down. It also seems as though I have a bit of tinware missing as the pushrod tubes can be visibly seen. Is it an engine out job to fit flaps control...

To lite steer or not to lite steer

The only thing I dislike, and put me right if I am wrong, but I think you have to do away with the horn push and site it elsewhere. I certainly would like it fitting, but at what cost and who is capable of doing it in the Leeds/Wakefield area of Yorkshire. Don't think I could possibly do it...

    Rust bubble

As oldbuser has said there will more than likely have some welding to do. The other thing is what paint to use, I have kept mine original with cellulose paint which I find easy to use. It may be that if it has had a professional job they will more than likely have used two pack base coat and...

Don't know if this is the correct part of the forum to post this. I am looking for either the name of the clips which retain the rods of the Danbury pop top when down. They are a U sort of shape with a single bolt fixing which goes through the fibreglass roof. Hoping someone can point me in the...
