    Starter motor top bolt question

    Ye same with my new starter motor. Think you can get a spanner on it which then jams against the casing, real pain though!! If i have the bolt out again i will put some weld along the flat edge which will then make it jam, if that makes sense.

    Glad you made it back safely :D After four months out there do you get a good bit of time off now? Looks like you have a few jobs to do and the new jack and axle stands look just the job.

    My '72 devon....

    Had to do exactly the same chasis repair myself and i know what you mean about not a lot of room to cut when on axle stands. i took the regulator off started cutting and then hit the end of the brake line :oops: you would think i'm trying to make jobs for myself. Good progress

    Cut the worst out of the passenger side chasis and welded new metal in Making some good progress now and because i have done the other side i'm a lot quicker doing this side removed the inner sill Nice weld on the old sill And the scrap pile keeps growing

    I have been concentrating on finishing the drivers side repairs and am nearly there with them now. Also got the main bulk of the floor done as well. Time to start on the other side. This is exactly as it was when i removed the belly pans, now you have to ask your self, who done...
