Powder coating On the mounting face? Are you sure it's mounted properly? I wouldn't think a pulley would get warped by powder coating.

72s came with both 1600 type 1s and 1700 type 4s (US only?) so either style could look stock. What do you want? originality? more oomph? how much do you want to spend? I think answering those questions will help you decide what direction to go in.

Maybe worth checking the basics first? valve clearances, Timing, tuning, compression etc far cheaper than getting it rolling roaded.

Then he modified the fuel tank for the correct inlets/outlets and then the firewall to make the cold start valve fit....

Then he rebuilt the gearbox to Make it usable....

Then we messed with the electrics....

Well I helped Haveacamper fit his and once we'd hacked up all the metalwork and frigged around with it loads to get the oil tank fitted it did just fit straight in!!!

Personally in a crossover or LB I think ( I did) I would fit them separately as its easier to get the gearbox into the cradle without the engine fitted then raise the rear of the bus and slide engine in and fit. But either way will work.

Do you have the right senders for the gauges? There's a single and twin pole version of the pressure sender and they both come in 0-5 and 0-10 bar variants. It should screw into the existing low pressure switch hole In the case. Edit: The pressure is stamped on the neck of the screw part of...
