You won't get any adhesion if you wax where you're going to sick the noise barrier. Fit the sound proofing first and then wax around it.

I've seen one fitted and they look good. The bracket clamps directly under the ignition housing so it's quite a distance from your legs (depends how tall you are). As for the wires they'd feed from the dash and drop down hidden.

You'll also be able to go lower without notching on a 68 as the chassis is different to later models. This single cab is a 68 and lowered with no cuts.
