The resto thread is on here too G, yeah well flip of the coin means I'm in Europe for a while and I've still got a Type 3 to finish too in Sydney so have to let go. Only an enthusiast will by it so I don't feel too bad.

Cheers DD - yeah when i got the van it was only ever going to be stock. It's easy to f-about with vans but I resisted, no regrets. I'd love to see the Finish van, was helpful here and there on those pics.

Yeah I do - they are grubby, I tried to clean up but must have been stained from cig smoke. You'd best go over them with a white vinyl spray to make like new. Want them?

Yeah it's a lovely model that - I did ask the bloke who made it but all I can remember is that it was German made, about 160 'euros'. Someone will know on here.

As promised on my resto thread, some pics from yesterday's show. I didn't go bananas with the camera, there was a lot there to please everyone (including, er, trikes. I can't stand those things but appreciate that it's some peoples bag, but one came past me as I drove into the show and you know...

For all intents and purposes finished yesterday, bar some odds and sods - fit cargo area panels I've made, I'd say it's 99% there. Took it to the VW Nationals show in Sydney yesterday, our biggest annual show, really good turn-out, I'll post some pics of that on a seperate thread. As clean as...

Quick update, screen in, headling in (needs finishing), panels made for the cargo area (as well as making a new half-depth one for the sliding door to keep, I'm putting on a full depth one to protect the body from the inside, also putting a panel opposite the door on the o/s. There is no way...

Cheers mate - with the tyres, I want the vehicle looking stock so that's why they are on the inside. In the future if someone else likes whitewalls on a commercial or could do something with them then they are there.

Rear valance now in Wheels are painted just need tyres, getting some this week. Nearly clean wheel bolts. Really clean wheel bolts. Hopefully next pics it's standing on it's own feet.

Added more face and arse bits on it, - powdercoated splash trays, rear bumper back from straightening last week then painted this week. Step on front bumper powdercoated then painted, front bar straight as.

...while on the topic this was finished today, had a left/right conversion and power steering. Quite partial to a Bullit Mustang me. Goes quite fast. But enough of that nonsense. Here's an old squareback
