    Tailgate hinge removal

I'm currently stripping my van. Have removed the tailgate (which apart from a ding was surprisingly good) Now, the hinges are left in an 'up' position. Is there anything I should know before I try to remove them, i.e is the spring likely to take my fingers with it? Thought I would ask as it...

    Workshop Fire - WTF?!?

Is there not a chance you can save it by grafting a new roof on?* *not that roofs are easy to come by..... But it seems an awful shame.... but if not lets hope a few busses can live through the demise of this one. Is there any way we could help with tools? Will pm you. We lost all ours tools...

    1968 Only

May be a daft question, but there are some significant '68 only items on a model of that year; doors being the obvious one. Is there a list anywhere specifying what was '68 only? I'm just thinking about saving my time and scratching my head now that Ive started on my bay resto. Cheers Tx

    So why an Early Bay?

Oh.. its a childhood thing for me... we had a 71 ex-builders van with the floor covered in concrete and a seized engine (it'll be needing oil then....) that my Dad turned into a camper... I know these days its sacrilege, but in 1980 it was £200 well spent and family holidays. I remember my...

    Horrific....

I'm just sat here reminding myself that its solid underneath so will be worth it..... well it was solid 12 months ago :( Think you may be right about giving it a clean and definitely definitely right about moving it........

    Horrific....

And its all my fault... Heres my abandonned van... wasnt this bad when it was parked up 12 months ago... had a cover on and everything... vandals have been at it so lost all the O/S glass front and rear screens and front and rear lights... they have crashed my trailer into the rear corner and...

How much is too much for a chair

Difficult one... nearly £600 is a lot for something that will only ever be a copy.... However... if it was an original... go for it every single time... But who am I to talk... as Ive had a plastic porsche  I'd love a Le Corbusier chair... the cube one, there were so many copies made...

    Not a happy bunny

I wrote to the local councillor. They did nothing too.... and the local paper merely lists the vandalism that has occured that week... I want to go round hurting people I'm that angry... (dont worry its not happening)

    Not a happy bunny

The police are seriously bad around there. I had a car stolen a few years ago (never found it) and they didnt do anything... Nothing!!! Thats actually a lie... they turned up and gave me a crime number... that was it... No wonder theres so many thieves and vandals around... no consequences :(...

    Not a happy bunny

    Not a happy bunny

Yep we told the police everything we know. The 'neighbours' didnt hear anything and quite a few things have been moved about also (including a knackered beetle with its brakes bound on that would need moved with a vehicle)... so we think its their son :( But as we cant prove anything its a bit...

    Not a happy bunny

They have been worse than useless. Cant prove who it was. But I do have my suspicions.... Which just makes me angrier... In fact I'm varying between shaking with rage and complete despair. I feel like just getting the blooming thing crushed. Think its cursed :(

    Not a happy bunny

Got a phonecall on Saturday night to tell me my bay had been vandalised (its stored outside at a farm on the edge of a really quiet really small village). They broke ALL the windows :( And pulled the sliding door off :( And something (may be my trailer they have used) has stoved in the rear...

    Wanted early bay steels

Was really just wanting a couple of crappy ones just to get it rolling, but what do you want for the set???

does this seem expensive or is it just me?

tbh Ive priced mine at 1k+ in my mind even though its been in an accident and the doors, corners and front panel need done. Purely because you would get that back if you broke it :( And I would never want it to be broken so I've convinced myself its worth more ;) silly logic but I'm not...
