Hi Sparkywig Thanks for that. I am running a dynamo. Would I need to do that even if I hadn't turned ignition on when connected battery wrong way? I've measured my charging rate today to see if it's charging and I only get 12.28V which rises to 12.3V when I fast idle. Doesn't go higher. James

Thanks guys It is an electronic VDO gauge yes (SiDev - is your gauge a capillary or electronic?). As for the oil I'm running Morris's 30w and have external oil filtration so have upped my oil level to 3.25litres. Pump was fitted by engine builder... Hope this helps. I had a quick google...
