    Another Dormobile restoration :)

Cheers matty 👍🏼 123ignition fitted at the weekend. Really simple...rotate engine to tdc, remove old distributer, pop in 123 and rotate until drive engages, set static timing using its built in timing LED, connect all other wires, start, drive! Need to take it for a proper test drive but seems...

    Another Dormobile restoration :)

Done a few hundred miles in Bertie when she started hesitating when cold. Would clear when warm but got progressively worse. Sounded like she was running on 3 cylinders so pulled the leads and confirmed only firing on 3. Narrowed down to distributer / electronic ignition conversion so now have...

Bought an early vintage speed and didn't get along with it at all. Got a bug tech now and it's awesome.

    Door handles recommendation

I got C&C ones all coded to the ignition key - the quality is great and the coding service was spot on. Only one I had any issues with was the rear hatch lock where the barrel seemed slightly shorter than the original, but a litle bend of the release catch sorted it and works spot on

Had the same issue with mine and ended up crumbling into the engine. Was very close to getting it out with a thread cutting tool as suggested. Fingers crossed for you!

    Another Dormobile restoration :)

She's a runner!! Only taken 9 1/2 years but finally on the road and working. Cue stoopid happy pose  Now concentrating on getting some shake down miles done and getting the interior finished so we can go and enjoy her. Using the best bits of 2 original interiors I have. Will have the...

    Dormobile roof lining

Hi, can anyone show me how the Dormobile roof lining above the bed and around the roof cap is attached? It's been so long since I took mine off I can't remember! Is it held on by the curtain rails or is the wooden lining attached first then the curtain rails screwed on through it? Any pics and...

    Dormobile poptop

Hi, I got a proud to pop canvas for my Dormy after much deliberation and was a really good fit. Fitted it myself with a couple of mates and only took a day including a lot of cleaning up and sorting out of the original fittings.
