    After 10yrs bye

I suppose I don't have to, but doubt if I'll get enough money to get another one. I will probably have to go down the Beetle road at a later date.

    After 10yrs bye

Unfortunately I have to sell my bus on shitty Ebay as I have to drum up a deposit for a house. :sad0049: I've enjoyed some of of the club discounts and group buys over the years, especially with Gene Berg (once you've spoken to them a few times they are very accommodating). Anyway I will...

    Alarms

I had my motorbike stolen from behind my house four weeks ago, and now someone has tried to force open my engine lid on the drive overnight. So basically I want to know what alarm system people have please?. I'm after all the doors and engine hatch, I already have a tracker and pedal locks...

    Water in engine

Not seen all the bits I'm missing for sale anywhere when I did look, but that was years ago. Can you get the whole lot flaps, thermostat and linkages off the shelf anywhere?

    Water in engine

No flaps or thermostat, I just sit while it warms up and the auto choke drops back down from 1800rpm to 800 ish. There are extra breathers from R covers and just the other running from pedestal to base of air filter. Cheers

    Water in engine

Afternoon, I decided to change my air filter on a my 32/36 carb. To my horror when I took off the oil breather pipe it was full of milky crap, so I went to remove it from the pedestal base so I can clean it all out and about an egg cups worth of water came out!!!. Any ideas? It's my daily...

    Meyle CV joints

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking. I done the side that was a bit rough, left off the washer, gaskets facing the gaiter seemed more likely to me. A messy shit job as three torx heads were stripped. And worse of all the van is still making unhealthy noises! not a happy bunny, I'll check the...

    Meyle CV joints

Cheers Bob, no I'e never seen any with a cork gasket either. I think I'll leave the washer off as both my manuals say to. When I say the line I don't mean around the outside of the circumference these ones don't have that unlike all the others I have seen. On the main part of the bearing that...

    Meyle CV joints

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a repeat treble question. I am fitting new cv joints today and ordered Meyle ones from VWH, I have three questions. 1. It has a cork gasket and recess, my old ones do not and it's not mentioned in any manual I own, so which side would that go on please? gaiter...

    Auto electrician/restore wanted

Cheers Mat, my next excuse is that I use mine as a daily driver. I'd rather someone else did it, I did ask VW JIM as I've used him before for other stuff but he wasn't keen.
