Wanted - '71 bay single cab treasure chest door

I can't even imagine what would make someone do something as idiotic as this. Really! I mean how bad could it have been to throw the WHOLE thing away and close it up with a flat panel? Anyhow, thanks for the info.

Wanted - '71 bay single cab treasure chest door

Guys, I need a stock treasure chest door for my newly purchased '71 bay single cab. I will also need all the latches, hinges etc. For some insane reason the previous owner closed this up with a panel. Are there nos rocker panels available for the SC as well. The left side must be entirely...

Bay Single cab joins the family

Fig, according to the owner he has only had it for 8 months. He bought it from the original owner who is in his late 80's. He never mentioned if the chap he bought it from was from PS. Hopefully not. :? Either way ......... a good find we both agree. Tnx re the hatch. And I can't wait to see...

Bay Single cab joins the family

So after buying a double cab not too long ago while trollling the interweb I also bumped into this single cab ....... WHICH I COULD NOT LET GO PASSED! The owner was thinking of exporting her out of South Africa so I bought it on the spot even though I haven't actually seen it with own eyes. We...

    '71 Bay inner door pulls?

I see that the '73 onwards types are readily available brand new but I have not been able to locate new ones of the old type with the locking latch built in. Anyone know where I can get my hands on 3 new ones with the matching backing plate (escutcheon) covers?

South African import - no M plate?

My original plate was where the two holes and strange stampings now are. There is no other plate that I can find anywhere.

How do I get to my crewy fuel tank?

Ha!! Thanks Araon. I had visions of chopping off the deck which IS in a very bad way. The previous owner must have used it to cart pieces of moon crater or asteroids around in. I'll leave replacement of the deck and gates for another thread. BTW rev-al, good call on the sender. Mine shows 3/4...

How do I get to my crewy fuel tank?

I smell fuel in the cab when I fill the tank. I am assuming that the hoses must be replaced and want to do that before I have a fire bust out somewhere. Do I need to remove the decking? That seems to be the only way to get to the fuel tank. Am I right here?

South African import - no M plate?

My crewy also has a strange plate. (In the original colour no less!) And then, where the original makers plate was (which some dumb@ss removed), there are some manual stampings. Nothing that makes too much sense to me though. :?

Anyone on the forum running 17 inch rims?

Yup Zeb, that's exactly what I don't want to do.

Anyone on the forum running 17 inch rims?

Is the idea of running 17 inchers OTT or actually quite a do-able idea without having to rebuild the entire underside of the crewy? I have seen one on the forum from the Netherlands with 17's and it looks fantastic.
