Just bought the chrome stemmed version from JK I think they used to sell EMPI ones. this one is awful, malfunctioned very quickly and the stem is loose, it is going back as it is not a good copy, where can I get a good one or a genuine one? Kev

will give it a go, the door handle has full movement but nowt on the little catch, I see you can buy those little catches so assume someone has stripped a machanism down before

The handle does not lift the forward lever from the front keep on my crossover bay , can these mechanisms be dismantled and repaired or do I need to find a new latch mechanism complete? the little plastic locking lever on inside also seems to do nothing, regards Kev

there was a third hole in my bottom tinware I blocked with a sandwich of 2 3 inch washers with a nilock nut and bolt through centre, kev

I have twin carbs, the numbering looks like H40/ 44E 1S not positive on the 1S part as job to see, The filter elements are KADRON K-33 002 have not had any luck this morning ringing round and internet searching , mine look beyond a good wash, Kev

just had a look they are twin solex carbs with the large perforated filters on top, Forgive my ignorence I am fairly new to aircooled engines but where is the cool air drawn in from? I think I need a lesson on how the system works, Kev

I have no heat exchangers , Told I have J tubes instead, so where the 2 inch diamiter flexible steel hoses from fan exit the bottom of the tinware they are just cut off, Would they be drawing in hot air from around the exhaust and is there a special way of addressing the ends of these without...

I plan to cut out some rust on my tailgate and set some fresh metal in. How do you get the glass out and back in again, do you cut the rubber and then replace when you pop it back in again? Kev

Thanks all, especially Dave for your offer but a mate popped round with a meter and we sussed it in, we now have right connections and a new earth. There seems to be no wires at all for reversing lights though, is this the norm on a 71 with the large lights ie a crossover
