removing glass

I plan to cut out some rust on my tailgate and set some fresh metal in. How do you get the glass out and back in again, do you cut the rubber and then replace when you pop it back in again? Kev

For the time and effort and the cost of buying a new seal I always cut them out from the inside and put a new seal in..

I used to spend ages with two large flatheads working the seals out when I worked in a bodyshop and it was a mega nause!!

Patience, I don't know if you could see the embedded video in my last post so I have put the link in too.

If you can get someone to push on the window slightly as you put it in helps, don't wear any jewelry and make sure you take your time with the rope as you pull it..
