    Fitting Dormobile roof spiral springs

Just re-read your initial post - I bought the whole lift arm assembly. I guess once the original full lift arm is removed the spring will be easy-ish to remove and replace. I don't know how much tension remains once the arm is lowered.

    Fitting Dormobile roof spiral springs

I have recently replaced mine. It wasn't too bad but you need to be careful with using old/original screws or inferior quality. I had the head shear off a bolt and ended up taking interior trim off to get between the roof layers so I could use nuts and washers too! The first thing to do is that...

Hi All, I have a Devon Sunlander interior to sell which is 95% complete (missing the hidden drawers above the engine bay). Wood work is good but tired and the cushions have seen better days! http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/earlybaybob/slideshow/interior I am open to any offers and viewing...

Ricky, Great to meet you guys today and thanks again for taking so much time to talk and look things over. What's the name of the guy in Tamworth to get my van MOT'd? Cheers Dan

    engine cutting out

Ricky, I would definitely like to meet up - my van hasn't got an MOT at the moment and I haven't really figured if it would be best to get it MOT'd first so I can drive over to you or if you could come over to look at it with a view to pointing out what its MOT failings may be! (if that's ok...

    engine cutting out

if its not a 1700 what is it then? (1600?) I have just replaced hoses as they were before just to stop the leak - will the filter cause a problem where it is? which bit is the pump (sorry I know that's such a basic question but I am a complete novice).

Here is a photo of the hoses I replaced. As a complete novice I don't know what most things are or what they do. For example - what is the hose labelled 7 and why is it blanked off?

    engine cutting out

I changed a few perished hoses yesterday as they were literally hosing the engine with petrol. All leaks now sorted but I only changed the visible pipes and clips extra to those leaking. I will post a picture in a short while. I had this problem before changing pipes though. It's probably worth...

    engine cutting out

Hi all, My 71 bay has an original 1700 engine that needs a bit of TLC. Every time I dip the clutch (or in neutral if you take your foot off the accelerator it dies)the engine dies as if it is not ticking over fast enough. Any suggestions? when running it sounds sweet and drives great but this...

    Fire risk

Hi, I am collecting my new van this week from the current owner. When I drove it last week I notice a strong smell of petrol afterwards. It's the original 1600 engine which looks tidy enough but I am worried about going up in flames on my first ever journey home! Is it normal to get a smell of...
