You can try with nut without nylon locking and tighten it. Then remove the normal nut and replace it with proper locking nut.

i had same problem fitting widefives and Late disks +adapter. i was lucky to found solution. One of my rims had different rim profile. Similar As Late bay. Checked the rim markings and found it was Kronprinz KPZ rim. Asked around and found complete set KPZ rims. No grinding the caliber needed.

Everything will break if hitted hard enough. Several times. Was it lowered and parts adjusted so, that the outer (splined) part could hit framecastings upper stop? I think the inner spring plate should be the part to take those hits. Just a thought.

I would have allready visited my local lathe operator. Take the spacer ring from other spindle out as model for measurements.

That is possible. I never have had problems with many european suppliers. Because I don't speak perfect english, I prefer to contact with email to prevent misunderstandings. I got the needed metalparts elsewhere. So restoration can continue full speed. Maybe better luck next time.
