Why do I get oil on outside of sparkplug no.3 and plug lead.

Hi, I seem to regularly get oil on insulator of no 3 sparkplug, and also on lead end.... checked someone else's van and no 3 was the dirtiest too. Can't work out the oil path any ideas? That plug does have a thread insert...but don't think it's related.
