Hi,

Have the engine out and cleaning and painting the engine bay. As part of improvements I am changing the petrol tank main inlet hose.

I think that the hose is the original - the outside is woven with a jubilee clip holding it on.
The clips loosened fine but the hose won't budge.
Any suggestions...I am concerned using anything metal causing sparks and igniting any vapours.

My ideas are:
Levering off with plastic bike tyre leavers?
Or cut midway and peel away - but where does the debris go?

Forum search suggests details on replacement but not how to remove the old one...

Thoughts please...

Mind the fingers!!!!!!!!!!!
Could also squash in centre with mull grips to get leverage.

If you start to slice from the petrol tank end, up the pipe, it will pop off once the tension on the tank hard-pipe is released.
