Think of doing this trip, long way from Southampton but no kids to worry about anymore, just The wife and dog so chilled road trip hopefully 😂😂 There’s this Route 66 which follows the coast all around Scotland so was wondering if anyone else has done it and could share some tips 👍👍

Just had a couple of days away and although I had electric hook up with a fan heater, it was so cold !! What kind of heating are people using. Guessing Propex best option Pics would be appreciated 👍👍

Thanks for your replies Once started it runs fine ? Single carb, it's a recon engine fitted last year. New points and condenser fitted at that time. Think I'll give the chap that fitted the engine a shout as it seems a bit more than I thought👍

When I first start up all is well, however if I travel for half hour or so and stop, it takes a few times to finally start?? Could this be a dodgy starter or is there any other checks I can do.

Hi Matt Don't know if you've resolved this yet but I'd say the coil is trapping air ! The highest of the three pipes in the pic needs to raise towards the vent and yours looks like it goes down then up. Any air would naturally get stuck in the top of the coil and cause the banging noise and stop...

Fixed mine with a couple of coach bolts and made a steel plate type thing to spread the load a little. Works a treat

A stupid question I'm sure but I'm putting my van back together and tonight I thought I'd just pop the old radio back in . The live from the ignition switch only comes out at 6 v ? It goes in at 12v, the radio comes on for a few seconds when the van is starting then drops to 6v ?? Is this...
