Hi all early bayers.. had to get rid of the old engine and stick a standard 1600 recon engine in the end... My mums run off with the camper now and has easily done the 500 miles running in period - now needs hange, general check up etc... my mum is going to be around Appledore, Barnstable...

Hi.. i've stripped the whole moonraker interior of my 1971 bay window - so a hole can be cut to access the fuel tank and pull out all the crap inside there... While i am at it - i want to recover the hard board interior cards/pannels... So have taken them all off but am worried that the...

thanks for your help and suggestions guys... seeing as i need to get this sorted asap i am thinking of buying a second hand fuel tank, cleaning it with a tank cleaning kit.. re-painting it .... so that then i can take the refurb tank to local garage and just ask them to swap it over and also...

hello everyone/..... Been getting my camper ready for my mum to live in for next 3 months around england - everything going great untill she ran the tank low and clogged up the system.. After that the tick over was low and everytime i stopped at some traffic lights the engine would cut out. ...

when i changed the filter i just undid the jubelee clips, pulled out the old one put a cloth down to soak up spilt petrol put new one in thats it - did i do it right??!! ... oh how dirty can a filter be before it needs changing... ? ... new one that i fitted looks quite dirty already... last of...

Hi there... i stupidly ran the petrol too low the other day and the idling has dropped - resulting in the engine cutting out now and again.,.. i got some carb cleaner and that helped a bit,,, then i changed the fuel filter for a new one but since then it a stalls everytime i stop and cant rev...

looking into getting a hook up.. but dont want to cut a hole in side of van - have been told you could just have the plug in the engine bay and leave the engine lid slightly open... ???? Can anyone explain how a hook up works pls? Thankyou everyone :mrgreen:
