Hi.. i've stripped the whole moonraker interior of my 1971 bay window - so a hole can be cut to access the fuel tank and pull out all the crap inside there...
While i am at it - i want to recover the hard board interior cards/pannels... So have taken them all off but am worried that the insulation stuff behind them might be asphestos (sorry cant spell properly!!)
Can anyone tell me a yes or no or advise me at all?... i wouldn't have thought it would have been used in a camper van however it was made in 1971 when the harmfull/deadly effects were not known??
Really need/want to get on with what i am doing but too worried to go in the van now!!
thanks, Rowan.

Asbestos? Never heard of it being used in that way before, fibreglass, yes, but thats ok.

Any concerns wear a dust mask over your face, but I wouldnt stress, I cant think it would be anything like that.

cheers.. i just phoned up my dad and he just laughed at me - its just insulation stuff..... panic over and on with the work.... cheers

itll be cheap felt, i found a green snooker baize type meterial behind my Moonraker interior, thats odd i thought? unless my mice were having a few frames
