Type 1 thermostats can be modified to work on a type 4, I did one on my old van. If I remember correctly you can swap the bosses over to allow the type 4 cable to be fixed. They do have slightly different operating temperatures, but it still works. I think I found the info on the Samba.com...

Hi, this is what I came up with, full flow oil pump cover and mounting bracket. I drew up the design and a friend machined it up for me. It uses the four pump studs plus a u clamp round the lower case bolt. Has worked well with my 2027 stroker.

Hi Mike, That's kind of worrying. Did you hit a pot hole or did it just fail? Did it cause your bus to swerve/loss of control? From your pictures of the end it looks a bit like a fatigue crack which propagated then fractured. The dark line isinteresting, it could be a material flaw or perhaps...

Yes I run the Gaz shocks. I upgraded from T2D coilovers and the Gaz ones are so much better. :D

Hi, You can grind the lip of the bump stop away. I did mine on a linisher and got it to clear. Hope this helps. Si
