having my Bay restored next year and i'm contemplating having it dipped - I've seen a splitty and a bug go through the process on beetlecrisis but never a bay. I'd love to know what the general consensus is on the matter. So come on folks throw in your grubby old 2 pence worth :tup

I'm due to get started on the resto of my '71 danbury and I'm wondering wether to go back to the original colour (niagra blue) or another colour that suits the year. Does anybody know what the range of colours was for bays in 1971? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. :D

is there a commenly used 'bible' for bay restorations?

Anyone recommend a welder to begin with or have one for sale? Also to be even cheekier is anyone in Brum area that is doing some welding currently happy to let me come and have a nose at their handywork? Cheers
