The metal socket and switch are the original US fuse for the mains hookup in my westy. The fuse was a cartridge type thing that happens to be the same size as a standard 12volt charging socket. I drilled the rivets on the original fuse holder and slotted the socket in, it had a lock ring on the back to keep it in place.
