Hi

I have a narrowed ball joint beam and dropped spindles with drums on my bus.

Do I still use the standard length brake hoses, or should I use different ones? If so which ones?

Thanks

Matt

You should be ok with standard length which is:

67 - 70 Model 450mm

71 -79 Model 340mm

Hope that helps.

Best thing to do is mock it up will an old hose and see.

Just thought I would add my bit to this, the MOT man didn't like the standard rubber hose on my bus because it was touching the steering components, being too long didn't help, I only escaped because it was wrapped with a plastic spiral that is supposed to prevent chaffing. I'm on the look out for some braided hoses as he suggested I get some. I have already had to move the position of the brake hose bracket on the chassis because with the bus so low it nearly wore through the end of the rubber hose.

Braided hoses you say ;)

Early bay (goodridge hoses) I have these on my van:

Late Bay (goodridge hoses):

Nice one Alex :D do you know what lengths they are ? Which are the shortest ?

Thanks Alex, as I said before they are too long for a narrowed beam and foul the steering gear, I'm looking into either a shorter hose or maybe a hanger that will suspend the hose out of the way
