71 locking fuel cap

Hi Guys,

Any tips on getting a locking fuel cap for my 71?
OR.......is there one made for a different car that'll fit?

Not sure if its the same as my crossover, I think they may be. In which case there are some available. French I believe. Have a search on here. I'll try and remember where i got it!

Ok, they are different. Scrap that. VWH seem to have them but not cheap - currently in sale though!

I've had three of them and they all broke. The lock mech fails.

Being fairly new to Vw's with a lot to learn, would the flap on a 71 be openable with no lock and the cap locked as what is being talked about here?

My 71 has a lock on the petrol flap itself which looks like a lock from an office cupboard, the cap is not locked, I take it this has been added?
