Hi I need to replace my oil pump on my 1970 bay but don't think the engine is orginal. Would the ad engine be the 1600 from a 1971? So I need the later pump

Yes the AD series were fitted to European 71 model year buses.
What type of oil pump you need is governed but the camshaft drive gear. You have to either trust the engine is built to original spec or remove the pump to check.
It's rare for these oil pumps to need replacement, they normally last the life of the engine or more.
