Hi, just signed up to the forum and after advice already!

Looking at getting some of these dropped spindles from transporterhaus for my 72 crossover but just have a couple of questions if anyone would be so kind to help.

1. There are different kits for 71-72 and 73-79 vans. I guess the only difference is brake discs/callipers?? as the later brakes seem more readily available I was wondering is it worth ordering the later version dropped spindles and spending on some new brake discs and callipers too

also

2. Will i need different shock absorbers or will stock ones be okay?? worried the tyre will be bashing the arch unless the suspension gets stiffened up a bit

1. Yes, seems sensible if you dont mind the initial outlay.

2. Yes, you will, depending if your using adjusters as well, or how heavy you are, you'll need stiffer dampers or maybe a pair of coilovers.

well initially I will just get the spindles but then I will also be getting a moderately narrowed beam with adjusters when funds allow so would consider that with my purchase... I can't imagine dropping it on the adjusters significantly more though as the spindles look about the height I want.

Anyone recommend any shocks in particular?

Even with my adjusters at full height I had scuffage on the arches. I chose Bugpack Coilovers. :)
