Hi,

Anybody know a good way of removing/polishing/t-cutting light scratches from bodywork?

Only our eldest was showing off riding her bike outside (cos her younger brother had gone without stabilisers for first time today) and she promptly bumped/dragged her handle bar along the rear wing of a neighbours Mini Cooper (about a foot long or more) - just as the owner was coming out of their house :(

There's no dent, and it's possible that the handle-bar grips have only marked the laquer (so may t-cut out?), but it does look like there's a light scratch (maybe 6 inches or so) where the end of the brake lever caught the body.

I know this isn't early-bay related - but it could be applied to buses :)

Thanks,

Mike

If its gone through the clear coat I dont think you will be able to cut it out.
If you do try t cut make sure you get the sort for metallic paint or get a proper cutting compound, just a suggestion try a test spot where it wont be see before you go to work on the scratch.

Cheers. Waiting for the neighbours partner to get back (think they are out for the day) and come over. Will suggest using compound.
