I have bought an after market bottom pulley from Heritage. Chrome type with 360 deg TDC BDC etc. when I try to fit it I can't get tension on the belt. Put the original back and the belt is ok. Any ideas? Cheers

The other pulleys are slightly smaller than the stock pulley with the D stamp.
Stick with the original..m

Most aftermarket pulleys leak as well as the rear worm screw is never as good as the original

I have fitted a few of these pulleys and never had a problem. Might be a silly question but have you reduced the number of shims between the two halfs of alternator/generator pulley? Also have never had a problem with oil leaks .
