Never been before and won't know if I can make it til the day before but can you just turn up and park somewhere along the seafront?

I know tickets are pre-sold but what happens if you turn up on the day??

Sorry if these sound like dumb questions Just don't want to have to find an alternative parking spot in Brighton and walk to where the action is if I can help it.
