I'm going to be fitting a Westy Louvred window in place of the window opposite the cargo door of my 1971 Bay, then fitting the "removed" window in place of the quarter opening window on the cargo door (quarter opening frame rusted through :( ) My question is what seals will I need?

The Westy louvre window has its own seal system as it screws in from inside. Ours came as part of a total set of seals for refurbing the window and I can't now remember where we got them from.

You say that the window screws in from the inside.....how does that work? Do you need to drill holes in the bus to do this or is there some sort of inner frame that "sandwiches" the louvred window in place?

The window should have an aluminum surround which has a groove along its inside edge which should line up with the lip onto which the original rubber fitted. From memory you would need to drill 4 holes across the top and the same at the bottom along with 3 up each side and then self tap screws go through into to aluminium surround to pull the window and rubber into the recess in the body. If yours is a converted panel van you may not have the necessary recess.

Seal set are available from:
