i've got a full width rock n roll bed from a late bay to go in the bus.

does anyone know the measurements of the three cushions (seat, back and over engine)? i'm hopefully going to get the over engine cushion done full width to cover the spare wheel holder too.

thanks.

hmm, perhaps a bit more info would be useful.

i want and looked at the bed (in storage since i bought it, not actually looked at it yet .... to my shame!), unpacked it and measured.

the boards measure:
1335MM x 500mm - seat
1335mm x 430mm - back

the base panel measures:
1545mm x 335mm - it has a plate with the following code "4.07371". from googling i think i have established that it is from a 1974 bus (info and pic on the samba):

so ............................... i'm guessing that pretty much sorts the length and width of the foam i need for the seat and back ........ but ..... any ideas on thickness? i've been assuming 3" thickness foam as that is what i'm sure i was told later bay beds had, although not 100% on this. also, the side seat (bought separatley from someone who has a 1979 camper) has 3" foam.

i'm sure i remember reading somewhere that the thickness will be important as to whether the bed opens and closes properly.

thanks noddy. appreciated.

i think i might have to wait until i get the bed in and maybe measure up properly then.

in the meantime i have a foam set (given to me when i bought the interior) that seems to be 3/4 bed size. i can use that to sleep on when i use the van (iow festival next month) if i haven't got the bed done properly by then.
