Cheeky I know but another quick Vespa related question

Hi All

Vespa folk don't seem to be quite as responsive so I'll ask here as someone will have had to do this to a van, the vespa has had a partial respray but it looks like they just sprayed over the original paint = how do I remove the new paint and leave the old stuff?

Either very fine wet and dry or some cutting polish and a buffer.
