Clutch retaining clips???

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of replacing the clutch on my bus and just checking if these sliver clipsat the bottom of the photo are the retaining clips that need removing before fitting?

I know of retaining clips on the thrust bearing but those are a new one on me. I'm guessing that picture is your pressure plate but its not easy to tell from that picture. I've not had clips on a pressure plate before. What exactly is making you want to remove these clips, as in what have you read mate.

Yes they are. Stand on the clutch cover to take the pressure off them whilst removing them to make removal easier.
