Cunning Abandoned Stuff Picture Thread

[cunning plan]

I'm kind of interested in abandoned stuff. It is amazing on a relatively small island - the UK, there are still things left abandoned. It's fascinating to wonder about the story behind different locations, items and buildings that are just left there.

I decided to take more of an interest taking pictures of abandoned stuff - which I will post here. al la 28 days later (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false.

Feel free to chip in with your own pictures - always interesting to see what someone else has found..

Shipwrecked boat - Blakeney Point - Norfolk

Bit of a cheat this one as it is more of a piece of ambiance - some kind of old pump / mixer? It is outside a 241 at Billing Mill, Northampton.

Couple of barns near my house with Yank car parts..

Took the new SLR from work out today to explore a bunker / pill-box in Norfolk - Near Terrington St. John.

This is a old boat on the estuary in my village, there is a note inside saying it's not abandoned and will be rebuilt. :shock:

I love a bit of exploring in abandoned places.
I made a couple of trips to Hellingly Hospital ,a shut down
mental asylm, very spooky!
It`s being knocked down , which is a shame, it was huge!
Also found a WW2 communications bunker.
I`ll get some pics up , when i find them .

OOh thats spooky Childey, specially the chair :shock: some 'most haunted' fans would say the dust particles are 'orbs' and they are spirits of the poor souls who died there :?

few shots from the peak district, an old mill in surprisingly good shape and the entrance to Monsal Head tunnel, good mix of abandoned tunnel and the cliff face

got some pictures somewhere of an abandoned dynamite factory down near falmouth that are really good, will see what i can dig up

Hi, both times i visited Hellingly ,there were other people there
and it does put you on edge, as you creep around.
On my last visit there was about 20 graffitti artists doing pieces.
As for the strange orbs in some pics, they freaked me out
when i first looked back through photos :shock:

One of my first projects back in the late 80's early 90's not residing in a corner of my Mums back garden

As it was back in the early 90's when it was on the road

I'll be taking a proper look at it when it warms up, see whats needed to get it back on the road :shock:

Found this about a mile from where i work, in a layby type thing down a country lane (Warwickshire)

When i went to open the door the guys i was with stepped back, and both said they expected a body to flop out :lol:
