looks like mine only lhd and slightly better nick

sink bit looks home made to me i have a hand pump the same but not in the same place and westy window how i got it tho

The two I have looked at close up were claimed to be original and looked it.

Adapting a rhd interior to fit lhd is no simple task, to make it look good would entail nearly as much work as making one from scratch IMO.

I know that customers could specify lhd when ordering from Devon. It was an option for those intending to do big trips/tours or buying for export (run on Q plates for a year and export). It was a popular move for people working/serving in the UK on contract.

I dont know if Devons were ever activly sold/marketed on the continent though.

I was told servicemen ordered them.....

UK export/destination on the M code plate would give a clue to it being OG Devon

Sorry, yes I was going to post up pictures and then got way-laid!

She is a LHD Swedish import with a Devon pop-top, but the interior is no longer a Devon interior, however I'm led to believe she did have a Devon interior prior to the previous owner putting in his own customised interior.

Obviously, I stand to be corrected by anyone with far more knowledge than me!

Yes there are original LHD Devon coversions about, I have only ever seen one Earlybay (French) possibly
one of the ones trikkys seen

Interesting though, Devon interiors were made in batches of 20 or 25 i think it was, so a LHD must have been
to order or possibly a modified RHD unit. I can see on a caravette the wordrobe/easicool unit & compactums would
be the same as would the overhead locker. However I would imagine the bed unit, rear seat & cooker unit would have took
a bit of work though :?

depends how early on an early bay, the moonraker would be an easy swap just needs a different panel for the hinge on the cooker unit and the sink cupboard unit would suit the other side as its not blocking the side door
i'm still looking two matching devon interiors and still none yet

dont think thats a dormobile.... just has a dormy roof.... the interior looks all wrong! ive been know to be wrong on more than one occasion through!!!

anyway...i used to live in the same road that devon were based in.... but funnier than that.... or maybe not so funny to the purists....
my dad used to work in a school in exmouth as a craft design and technology teacher.... sometime in the late 70's / early 80's i think he was donated a whole load of unused devon interiors from devon.... 10 maybe 15..... back then they werent as sought after as today.... so the whole lot were broken up and the wood used for school kids projects!!!!! they all had the alu trim, black melamine tops etc etc etc....

it may have been when devon shut down or changed the interior design and so had no use for them.... dad thinks he may have a bag full of original devon interior handles soemwhere in the roof of the attic.... i did find 3 a while back which i sprayed white and used in my dormy interior....i now know how much they are worth!!!!!!

I emailed the seller, it is a dormy but the interior was replaced bits and pieces over time

about £7 each :D
