I emailed the seller, it is a dormy but the interior was replaced bits and pieces over time

about £7 each :D

IIRC there was an option to have a dormobile roof on a westy but they put it further back than dormobile did - probably so the front roof strengthening wasnt cut out.

Theres a guy somewhere on here with a LHD dormobile (with proper dormy interior) in Canada, chianti? red with teledials ;)

i know of one but it's a splitty, guy in our club just purchased it

that will be mine then as there is only one OG split Devon surfaced ;) very few were made due to their expense

Thanks for all your replies...nice to know that others survived 8)

I just stumbled across an old Devon press release from 1979. Its basically extolling the virtues of the company and its long history and association with VW. It also states "we have been exporting vehicles to France, Belgium and the Netherlands in increasing numbers" - so it would appear that exports were not limited to individual customers buying in the uk to export them privately.

I have not been able to find any dates or numbers though.

Yes, not seem him post for a while, or I've missed his latest posts.

Regarding the Westy with the Dormobile roof options, I think there are a couple of them here on EB. :)

I've just had my usual occasional browse on the Kieft & Klok site, and noticed a LHD Devon on there.
It's a late bay Eurovette, from France, and is quite tidy.
On the link, click on 'for sale' and then 'buses' .

Apparently, A dutch company fitted devon interiors to their camper conversions,
these were not branded or marketed as 'devon' interiors but the units were initially
supplied by devon in a LHD format.

These were distributed by the 'Pon dealership' in belguim as devons were by the
Renwick group over here.

I believe these were only on latebays though :?:
