Does anyone know what colour this is?

Unless someone does recognise it specifically - RAL/BS number or manufacturer car model and year colours. Then I suggest taiking your pic. to a good paint supplier to see if they know or can show you a range of swatches that might get to it or at least near it. Also keep an eye out for modern cars that might have something very similar if not the same and take note.

Meanwhile - hope someone does let you know - from experience I know it is difficult to identify exactly what you want when you see it. My last resto had to resort to the the Swatch method from a pic seen on the net - bit of a gamble but thankfully paid off in my case.

Thanks for the advice. I am hoping that someone will be able to narrow it down a little bit. I am presuming it is a beetle colour, so I might be able to narrow it down a bit my self and like you say go to a paint supplier and get some mixed up for me. Failing that, I hope it is a good paint supplier and will be able to help from the picture!

I suppose also, there must be a beetle forum that I could ask on!

It's hard to tell from your photo due to the amount of reflection, but here are the three VW silvers, moonrock, reflex and platinum. Platinum looks the closest.
