Are the brand new genuine door seals that are available from VW any good or are they cheap South American rubbish?

I know Status and C&C do the best but wondered if the genuine ones still made by VW are any good?

Cheers!

Don't even bother with Brazilian quality (read cr*p) seals, they won't fit and they will end up in the bin!

C&C, Heritage, Status etc all sell the Genuine VW seals. A bit more to pay but well worth it.

If you're going to Dubfreeze get some there, show prices tend to be a bit cheaper...

Carole

I go for Status every time. VW quality ain't what it used to be when it comes to rubbers

I got all my seals from Status, I'm fairly happy with them all. I haven't fitted the door seals yet, they have all the correct moulded features but I'm concerned that they are made of a grey spongey material as opposed to the black rubber like all the others.

What does everybody else have?

cheers

Ian

Do the status ones have the moulded corners?

The problem I've found with the cheaper seals is they take ages to bed in and throw your door gaps out. They don't seem to have enough give in them. We have had a set before that had to go back because the rubber that sits against the A pillar was practically rigid and the door would just not shut :?

Status rule! and they have all the corect moldings :D
