It made £165.00

I was bidding but finally ducked out at £140 (after previously promising myself a £100 limit)

Is the winner a member on here?? - If so I would be interested in paying fair money for a photocopy

FS :)

i was keeping an eye on it but when it hit £140 i gave up too lol

i would willingly pay a hefty whack for a good quality photo copy :msn4:

Guys, I feel this has been overhyped! I too was amazed to see it go for £160 seeing I paid less than a tenth of that for my copy, albeit several years ago, but maybe that's inflation/supply and demand for you.
This manual was an updating of the earlier set of 2 manuals that VW put out;
Body Repair Work Part 1
Body Repair Work Part 2
1969 editions.
I've also got these, which by definition feature the early Bay.
This pair was part of a set of 16 manuals that VW put out in '69 (updated by supplements), that apart from the title also featured a letter in their identification. The full set is as follows:
Body General Work Part 1 (A)
Body General Work Part 2 (A)
Body General Work Part 3 (A)
Body Repair Work Part 1 (A)
Body Repair Work Part 2 (A)
Brakes Wheels Tires Hand & Foot Controls (B)
Electrical System Part 1 (E)
Electrical System Part 2 (E)
Fresh Air Heating Air Conditioning (F)
Transmission and Rear Axle Part 1 (H)
Transmission and Rear Axle Part 2 (H)
Transmission and Rear Axle Part 3 (H)
Fuel System (K)
Engine Air Cooled (M)
Front Axle and Steering Part 1 (V)
Front Axle and Steering Part 2 (V)
They covered the then available models eg Beetle, Type 3, Bus, Thing, (there was a separate one for the ill fated K70) thus replacing the individual model's manuals that had been the norm up till then.
These are all still out there! and do crop up on assorted sites. For example there are several of them on thesamba.com.
My advice - be patient and hope the £ gets stronger against the $!
Cheers
Ed
