For sale: Weber 40 IDF's SOLD

Never thought I'd do this but my need for speed has out grown my beloved genuine Italian Weber 40 IDF carbs They are the best set of 40's I have ever seen, absolutely spotless and in perfect working order. These are an early variant of IDF's and have the idle jets located in the top of the carb body. I would gladly run these on my new 2110 but the engine has evolved from the original spec and I'm now buying some 44's so I need these gone to fund those

I want £325 which is what I paid and for such good examples of Italian Webers that is a fair price.

Are the Weber carbs the IDF 40's stamped with version 83 ?
Reason i ask is i have a pair and cant get them set up on my 1600 engine at all. I have seen the idle jets in the top and have cleaned everything i can !
Any suggestions as it seems you had great success with yours....
I have checked idle jets and they are 48..... I have a set of 55 's also but no difference when i fitted them.

What jetting, imulsion tubes and vents are you using? Will it not idle?
