Hi All,

I'm looking to change my standard bay wheels to 15" wheels. I have a '71 bay with discs up front. What's the opinion on Gas Burner wheels and does anyone have any pics of them on a bus ? Especially on a chianti red one !

Cheers.

My '71 .... Not Red though .....

I have a set for sale if you're interested.

Just be aware Gas Burners have a really bad offset as they never designed to go on a bus, they do vary but we've seen them range from ET12 - ET5 which is 25mm further out in your arch. Just check ET before buying

Why 'bad' graham? Dropped spindles increase width, are they 'bad'? With a 5X112 stud pattern, what were they designed for, out of interest?

What Graham is trying to suggest without wanting to put you off buying these wheels as they do look nice, is that on a heavily lowered bus you will encounter issues with rubbing(hence why these are for sale) due to the increased width. On a moderately lowered or stock bus then the issue is only a wider 25mm, which is aesthetics.

Wasn't having a go Leon but as you've described they run closer to the edge of the wheel arch on a bay so depends whether you are stock or lowered and yes drop spindles add to the track I agree but certain wheels just make it look like you haven't narrowed it all and BRMs and Gas Burners fall into that category 👍
