headlamp part numbers?

is there a definitive list of headlamp part numbers that anyone knows of? during the course of owning my van i've seen a few nos headlamps offered for sale .... but with a few different part numbers. i'm now thinking of trying to track some down but i want to buy the right ones. 3 screw ones currently on mine.

Just had a look at the "Bible" (VW Type 2 parts List Book) for you, findings as follows:

(Page 9/20, Illustration 61, 3 screw type Headlamp)

211 941 039 K - Headlamp Left, assymmetrical (Hella) (Right Hand Traffic Only)
211 941 039 H - Headlamp Left, assymmetrical (Bosch) (Right Hand Traffic Only)
214 941 039 E - Headlamp Left, assymmetrical (Hella) (Left Hand Traffic Only) (M187 code)

211 941 040 K - Headlamp Right, assymmetrical (Hella) (Right Hand Traffic Only)
211 941 040 H - Headlamp Right, assymmetrical (Bosch) (Right Hand Traffic Only)
214 941 040 E - Headlamp Right, assymmetrical (Hella) (Left Hand Traffic Only) (M187 code)

The M187 code is described as "Headlamps for countries with left hand traffic"; so I guess UK / Aus / NZ / HK etc

If you need any individual part numbers for reflectors / lens etc give me a shout

ah, thanks. very kind of you. so anything with e at the end not suitable i guess as mine is rhd. do you know about differences in other numbers? one on ebay with this number:
214 941 040 E.
i'm guessing a right headlamp for something lhd?

hmm, i'm clearly not reading things carefully enough!!

I reckon that Left Hand Traffic means RHD hence the M187 code for buses bound for RHD countries.

oh, i read it wrong. the opposite of what i said then.

i'd be interested to hear about experiences of headlights too. i'm pretty sure i'm either going to track down something nos, bosch/hella (any diferences?) or go for the hella ones that seem to be offered new on some sites at about £60-£70.

as ever .... i'm a bit in the dark
