New owner

Hey guys/girls,

Been a fan of splits and bays since the 90's when some of my mates had classic VW's and a couple of them worked at the Karman Connection in Essex, but at the time I was more into classic fords.

Have nearly bought one a few times over the last 30 years, but funds always needed to go elsewhere.
Joined here in 2018 when again I was browsing, but seriously started looking about 6 months ago.
Originally from Essex, but now live on the Cambridgeshire /Norfolk boarder.

Anyway, finally made a purchase and love it. Have started a thread in the Gallery section, and hope to be an active member.
Aircooled VW are new to me, so I have much to learn, but I'm generally fairly handy so looking forward to the regular tinkering.

Hi Sam, glad you’ve joined us. As far as busses go, it looks like you’ve bagged a beaut there. Probably see you at some of the shows this year and that’s th3 best place to pillage ideas and suss what works well and what don’t work so good. Just keep your eyes on the oil levels until you know for sure how much your bus uses and make sure you got a spare fanbelt that fits. A lot easier to buy from the comfort of your arm chair.
