hi there .. i am new to this site and it looks quite cool ...erm i do have one question tho i would love to be answered..is my bay classed as an early bay...my bay has the big square rear lights and headlights next to my grille..but i have a rap around front and rear bumper...it was also registered in 72, september i think..any help would be apreciated.. thanks

when you say head lights next to the grill do you mean indicators? of so this is classed as a late bay.

All early bays have low mounted indicators just above the bumper 67 to 71. Then comes the crossover model, 71 to 72, so called because it has the later tall back lights but the low front indicators. 72 on models have tall back lights and indicators next to the grill.

.......what about crossovers with 'high' front indicators? ;)

put up your m-plate (behind the left hand seat two plates one vin type with chassis the other will have a whole series of numbers) and the exact date of production can be determined from that.......

pics too ;) the site was set up for people that like the early bay wether they own one or not... Welcome

could be a crossover with the wrong front panel too, a quick easy tell tale is square bumpers or rounded? unless they have been switched too, more unlikely as its a harder job.

a picture tells a thousand word ;)
