You're absolutely right, there's been some very moving features on the TV and radio over the past week and it's shocking that there are still so many unanswered questions.
I'm not afraid to admit that I shed a tear or two this afternoon while listening to 'You'll Never Walk Alone' on the radio.

I remember when it happened, we were at Brentford watching Rovers, and one of my mate's had a small radio. There was complete disbelief around the ground.
I still can't believe that justice hasn't been served.

Well you wouldnt have shed a tear for Chris de Burghs rendition

Weston Super Mare "89" in the Irish bar when it went down....

*justice for the 96*

can't let today pass without mentioning it on here... i fully understand that it's off-topic to 99% of you lot, but it broke my heart.

rest in peace.

its not off topic at all, ive been a life long reds fan and remember the day well as i was settling down with my Dad to watch the game, heart breaking stuff  .

Those families do need justice, someone was responsible. The Authorities at the gound, the Police, but definitely not the fans.

Its a tradgedy that it took 96 lives to have to reform English football grounds. Hillsborough was always a death trap, an accident waiting to happen. I was there several times and i can understand why it happened, i just cant fathom the reaction of the authorities in dealing with it as the tradgedy unfurled.

R.I.P the 96 "You'll Never Walk Alone!"

We lost a lad in our school, still remeber vividly being assembled in the assembly hall for a rememberance - very sad.ironic isn't it,we live in a world of litigation and blame culture and yet still no closure for the suvivors, freinds and family!

A friend lost his twin brother on the day. I'm certain he wants answers which isn't too much to ask after 20 years.

two brothers from my old school in leicester both died that day 16 and 17. i had a look the other night on the web at the rememberence lists and there were lots of young guys as they would have been the one at the front. i used to have a season ticket for forest at that time and rememer the fences at the front were horrible. i know all seating has dulled the atmosphere but i remember some very dodgy moments back in the day of crowd surges etc. one of us would alway had to go looking for a wide laced shell toe or puma state as inevitably one would always fall off. i'd hate to point the finger but bad policing didnt help the situation that day.

thanks for your replies.

what is most noticeable in 'media' terms this year is that there seems to have been a real sea-change in how 'outsiders' (for want of a much better word) are viewing it... for twenty years we've had genuine and much appreciated sympathy for the bereaved, but that's only half the story... people's eyes seem finally to have been opened to the lies and myths which have been propagated about events that afternoon, and i feel more confident about the quest for justice than i have in years.
