Think it about 3 - 3.5 litres, but its easier to keep filling it up until it starts coming out of the filler hole.

I was wondering this very question yesterday, and via a search found a response from Clarkson46 saying the gearbox capacity is 3.5 litres but as its nigh impossible to drain it completely you'll only get a little over 3l back in!

As araon says give it time to settle between rounds of topping up, and take the plug out of the topping up hole before draining, just to check you can get it out.

were on the gearbox are these plugs located I've not changed the gearbox oil before and how often.Frankie

looking at the box from the clutch housing, third way up the left side, towards the front of the bus next to the nose cone, just needs checking for level....

full oil change 600 Miles post rebuild or you need to change viscosity accounting for extremes in temp.

Otherwise top up to the fill plug as and when required may as well check whenever you do a service

just remember extreme pressure oil or Hypoid
