Hi!

Got a big leisure battery, it's a heavy thing at 30 odd kilos, just fit's in the LHS tray, but is it too heavy? The tray is rust free and solid (unlike his rusty brother on the RHS)

Any thoughts on this, easier for me to leave him in the back, as the wiring is there, I would like not have to re-do it all for the time being under the bed inside.

Anyway, here is the pic........

Mine is about that size .. but it is sat the other way around, and hangs into the engine bay more .. its proped up underneath and rests on the ridge where its stronger ...

actually it sould really dodgy when I read that back .. but its not really, its secure .. And easier to get to + terminal

Sorry no photo .. back of bus not accessible at the mo!

But to answer your question .. I would have thought it plenty strong enough if its original and rust free ..

It should be strong enough (read that as I fecking hope so), the weight is distributed about the panel into the welds not in the centre spot, that said no harm in strenghening it apart from your gonna break through the paint which to date has made such a good job of protecting that area....

Hi!

I see what you mean ;) I just have to wedge it a bit as at a certain angle it sits quite close to knocking the rear light.
Cracking I'll go and wire it in, and not worry.

Cheers!

HIi!

Yeah, would be a shame to have the start welding or bolting onto the good tray, it has only just started to have the original underseal come off in a place or two (another job to do.)

Cheers!
